Rain

Rain. An everyday, ordinary thing.   

And yet extraordinary.

Water and rain, giving us life and vitality.

Renewal.  

Rain, bringing forth flowers and beauty from the earth.

Brown and gray give way to green and color emerging.

Water creates fragments of color and reflection.

Blurring the edges and bringing forth something fresh and new.

This painting is part of the  Emerge collection,  simply starting with the idea of Spring, the beginning of a new season.  The anticipation of seeing the earth transformed from winter to spring.

As I painted, It evolved into something much more.

The idea of emerging from darkness into light.

It was relevant for personal challenges as well as things happening in the world.

My intention was to make something beautiful that evoked calm.

Painting in an intuitive style with a limited palette brought the idea to life.

One of the wonderful qualities of an abstract painting is that you will bring your own imagination to the piece and together we will have something special and unique.
