I remember the moment it happened.
The moment when the illusion was shattered and it felt like the world had forever changed.
I was about 10 years old and I was sitting on the bed with my sister at her friend Heidi’s house down the street.
They were talking about the fact the Santa wasn’t real.
What???!!! Sound the alarms, alert the media!
They assumed at my ripe old age that I knew.
Sure, I had my suspicions but I wasn’t ready to believe it.
With my eyes as wide as saucers and my mouth opened in shock, they could see they had let the cat out of the bag.
If I could go back and talk to that little girl, I would assure her that the world had not come to an end.
Really, the outcome was the same. You wanted something, you asked for it, and you usually got it.
It was the perception and delivery system that had changed.
I’ll admit that I still like those sappy Christmas movies where they prove that Santa is real. I take after my Mom that way.
There is a certain beauty in the magic of it all.
And there is still truth in wanting something, asking for it, and getting it.
If you don’t figure out what you want, or ask for it, you usually don’t get it.
So, in the spirit of the holidays and Christmas, I am putting on my Santa hat and giving you a special gift.
Until Thursday, November 29th, if you buy an original painting, you will get a bonus gift of a canvas art print of your choice, the same size or smaller, for free!
All you need to do is click here to choose your original painting, and once you have purchased it, send me an email with Santa special in the subject line and tell me which art print you would like.
You can use your bonus for yourself or as a gift for someone special.
I will send your print to the same address as the original painting unless you tell me otherwise.
P.S. Ho, ho ho. The Santa special is only available until midnight Nov 29, 2017
