The green & purple beads in this bracelet are absolutely beautiful. The first day I wore it I received several compliments. It's so unique.

Clip It Up – Organization in the Studio
When I was putting away everything in my studio and getting it set for a fresh start for the new year, I wanted an easier, simpler method of organizing my jewelry making supplies.
I thought about using a peg board or slat wall system like the kind they have in the stores but I didn’t want to have to move furniture out to make wall space.
I started doing some research and came across Clip It Up which was designed for scrapbookers.
It is a ring, or series of rings on pole that you can turn like a lazy susan.
I saw they made a floor model and decided that would work for me.
I love the idea that I can put ALL my beads, organized by color on the clip it up. It makes it easy to put things away, and to add new things by simply hanging it in the right spot.
I had my beads in drawers before but it was hard to really see what I had.
I am planning on getting a couple of the smaller versions for findings that I can store in a cupboard and put on my desk when I need it.
I may consider putting some of my other art and craft supplies on this kind of a system too.
They make dividers that you can label. You can hang plastic bags of loose items. You can even use it for ribbon or small fabric pieces, like fat quarters. If you have any kind of cloth and you use the clips, you do need something to keep the teeth from damaging the cloth. They make little plastic shields just for that purpose.
Do you have some fun ways to organize that help you to be more creative?

A Fresh Start
This year before I started working on all the new and fun ideas I’m itching work on, I decided I needed to put away everything……. ok, almost everything that was out in my studio.
That took longer than I thought it would but it feels good to start fresh for the new year.
I have a plan to reorganize my large collection of beads and supplies and I will work on that in the coming months.
In the meantime, now I can start working on new projects and complete some of the ones I started that I had forgot about.
Often when I am working, I get excited about an idea or inspiration for another project. I’m experimenting with ways to remember the ideas without pulling out all the supplies and leaving them in a pile of good intentions!
I’m looking forward to my fresh start.
